“Township business is in great shape and is ready for learning, to blossom further”. This said in the new booklet titled, Township Biz Fastrack, which gives insights into development and growth models for township based businesses.

The booklet will be shared free during and in celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week, which runs from 18 – 24 November 2013, by Afri Biz Culture – a Johannesburg based entrepreneur propeller organization.

It focuses on strong principles which most township businesses have used to start-up, but haven’t wholly adhered to in the long run to their detriment. Therefore haven’t grown and sustained themselves amidst heavy competition and ever-changing societal dynamics.

It is co-authored by SpazaNews and Tiisetso Maloma (author of Forget The Business Plan Use This Short Model).

One principle in the booklet is bootstrapping, which by example is: starting off by selling one or two strategic and/or passion products, e.g. archar, to then reinvesting the proceeds on expansion. Therefore practical learning happens with minimum risk in capital investment.

The other principle is validation. So many businesses which started off selling few items have grown on the strength of customer advice – what to stock further.

The booklet also includes interviews with notable township business owners, whom give strategic survival tactics.

It is targeted at township business owners and employees. It will spark the thinking and conversation on how to grow township business and benefit society to the maximum.

Digital copies of the booklet are unlimited from 18 to 24 November 2013, which is during Global Entrepreneurship Week. To receive a copy, list on here http://eepurl.com/DM6or.
